Placemaking and public history.
Executed over 100 placemaking, public history, and community development projects around the Midwest.
Place-based historic research of old buildings and neighborhoods. I use creative sources — genealogy, found objects, local history, historic scholarship — to bring a place’s past alive. A written history, artwork, a creative building marker — the history is told in a way that means something to you.
Community development events, neighborhood block parties, and other projects to promote bridge building in urban neighborhoods.
Other projects - including a collaborative print magazine, Kunst Magazine, funded by People’s Liberty and the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation - to storytell about old places in Cincinnati and the diversity of people caring for them.
Place-based historic research for neighborhood organizations, including Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine Museum and Findlay Market, Ohio’s oldest continually operating public market.
