Hi! My name is Alyssa McClanahan. I am a historian, educator, and research consultant with a PhD in European and U.S. History from the University of Cincinnati. I publish, teach, and consult around environmental, urban, and women's history with an eye for understanding conflicted and misunderstood places. I have taught college classes around these themes for 10+ years and have published three books in these fields.

I also have spent the last 10+ years engaging with the broader public through 100+ historic preservation and public history projects in different cities.
